Half a year after the release of A Battle of Wits, Choi's second silver-screen appearance was in Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, a 2008 high school Korean film that starred all members of Super Junior except Leeteuk and Kyuhyun. He played the lead role of a controlling and severe class president who was one of the popular possible subjects of being attacked by mysterious forces. Other works
Acting alongside Yoo Jitae, Lee Yeonhee, and Chae Jung-an, Choi was offered a lead role in the upcoming 2008 Korean language film, "Sun Jung Manhwa", who was to play a high school student falling in love with a woman much older than himself. However, Choi turned down the offer to work on his music career in China with Super Junior-M; the role was given to bandmate Kang-in instead.
